Serves/Makes:8
- Ingredients
- 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
- 2-1/4 cups (525 ml) of Delicious apples (2 or 3 large)
- 3/4 cup (175 ml) sugar
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp (5 ml). vanilla
- 1 cup (225 ml) sour cream
- Topping:
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) flour
- 1/8 cup (30 ml) butter
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml). cinnamon
- Preparation
- Combine sugar and flour.
- Add egg, vanilla and sour cream.
- Mix until smooth.
- Add (sliced and peeled) apples and mix well.
- Pour into pie shell and bake at 350 for 40 minutes.
- Prepare topping.
- Mix until crumbly.
- After pie is baked, sprinkle topping over pie and bake an additional 20 minutes.
