- 1 head shreaded cabbage
- 1 grated carrot
- 1 small onion finely chopped
- 1 tsp (5 ml) dill weed
- 1 tsp (5 ml) dill seed
- 1 tsp (5 ml) mustard seed
- 1 cup (225 ml) sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) oil
- 3/4 cup (175 ml) white vinegar
- Combine cabbage, carrot & onion in a large bowl (set aside).
- Boil vinegar, sugar oil & spices together and cool.
- Pour over cabbage and let sit.
- Don't know where Mom got it, but I'm glad she gave it to me!! Even better the next day.
