Serves/Makes:one cake
- Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 ml) brown sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) shortening
- 1 cup (225 ml) sour milk or buttermilk
- 2 cups (475 ml) flour
- 1 tsp (5 ml). soda
- 2 cups (475 ml) finely diced rhubarb
- Preparation
- Mix in order given.
- Pour into greased and floured 9 inch x 13 inch pan.
- Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 30 to 40 minutes.
