Serves/Makes:1 pie
- Ingredients
- 1 pie crust
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter or margarine
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar
- 1/4 teas. salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup (225 ml) dark corn syrup (1/2 of a 16 oz (448 grm). jar)
- 1 to 1-1/2 cups (350 ml) pecans
- Preparation
- Cream (just mix) butter and sugar gradually until fluffy.
- Add syrup & salt.
- Add eggs one at a time and beat thoroughly.
- Stir in pecans or arrange on top after pie crust is filled.
- Pour into pie crust.
- Bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees (175 C.).
- Pie is done when knife comes out clean.
