Serves/Makes:1 pie
- Ingredients
- 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry pie shell
- 1-1/4 cups (300 ml) sugar
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) flour
- 2 cups (475 ml) buttermilk
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter or margarine
- Preparation
- Mix sugar and flour.
- Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, and vanilla.
- Melt the butter over low heat.
- Add to buttermilk mixture and mix well.
- Pour into pie crust and bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 35 - 40 minutes.
