Serves/Makes:1 pie 
 
Ingredients
  1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry pie shell
 1-1/4 cups (300 ml) sugar
 1/4 cup (60 ml) flour
 2 cups (475 ml) buttermilk
3  eggs
 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla extract
 1/4 cup (60 ml) butter or margarine
  Preparation
  Mix sugar and flour.
Add buttermilk, beaten eggs, and vanilla.
Melt the butter over low heat.
Add to buttermilk mixture and mix well.
 Pour into pie crust and bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 35 - 40 minutes.
