- Ingredients
- potatoes, sliced 1/3 inch thick
- 2 lbs (.9 kg). crumbled ground beef (uncooked)
- carrots, sliced 1/3 inch thick
- fresh tomatoes, sliced
- bell pepper, sliced
- celery, sliced
- potatoes, sliced 1/3 inch thick
- salt, pepper and garlic salt, to taste
- 1-1/2 cups (350 ml) water
- Preparation
- Prepare a 9 x 13 inch pan or large casserole dish.
- Layer ingredients in order, seasoning each as you go.
- Pour in the water.
- Cover and bake at 325 degrees (175 C.) for about 2 hours, until the vegetables are tender.
- Add more water if needed.

- It doesn't get much easier than this. Believe it or not, it really is good.
This recipe is very easy to alter to your taste. It seems to require
a lot of salt so I've gotten to where I season each individual layer.
