- Ingredients
- 12 graham crackers
- 3/4 cup (175 ml) dates, cut small
- 14 marshmallows, cut in small pieces
- 1 cup (225 ml) walnuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) light cream

- Preparation
- Crush crackers; reserve 1/2 cup (125 ml) crumbs.
- Mix remaining crumbs, dates, marshmallows and cream.
- Form into a roll and cover with reserved crumbs.
- Chill several hours.
- Slice and serve with sweetened whipped cream.

- This is a recipe that I grew up with. We lived somewhat near the town of Whitman, Massachusetts and went to the "Toll House" for dinner often.
There are many recipes that have survived since the restaurant burned some years ago, this being one of them.
