Serves/Makes:6 doz 
 
Ingredients
   2 cups (475 ml) sugar
 1 cup (225 ml) margarine
2  eggs
1 c buttermilk
 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla
 1-1/2 tsp (7 ml) baking soda
 5-1/2 cups (1300 ml) flour
  Preparation
  Cream together sugar and margarine.
Add eggs and mix till smooth.
Slowly add buttermilk, mixing well.
Add  vanilla.
Add baking soda and flour.
 Drop by  tsp onto foil lined cookie sheet.
 Bake at 375 degrees (200 C.) F. for 12-13 minutes

 This is a soft dough.
