Serves/Makes:1 cup sauce
- Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
- 1 tsp (5 ml) cornstarch
- dash salt
- 1/3 c water
- 1 c blueberries
- 1 tsp (5 ml) lemon juice
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml) grated lemon peel
- Preparation
- Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
- Stir in water.
- Add blueberries.
- Bring to boil; simmer until clear and thickened, about 4 minutes.
- remove from heat and add lemon juice and lemon peel.
- Chill.
