- Ingredients
- 8 thick slices bread
- 3 oz (84 grm) butter
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups (475 ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) currants
- nutmeg
- Preparation
- Butter bread with butter.
- Place in baking dish.
- Beat eggs, add milk and sugar.
- Pour over bread.
- Add currants, sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Let stand 30 minutes.
- Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 1 hour.
