Fried Plantain

Serves/Makes:serves 4

Ingredients
  • 1 pound of ripe plantains
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) of a light salad oil
Preparation
  • Peel ripe plantains.
  • Cut in half crosswise; then in 1/4 inch thick lengthwise pieces.
  • Heat salad oil in skillet.
  • Add plantains.
  • Fry till golden, about 6 to 8 minutes per side.
  • Drain on paper towels and serve.
