Serves/Makes:2 cups
- Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar
- 3 tbsp (45 ml). flour
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml). salt
- 2 cups (475 ml) milk
- 2 tbsp (30 ml). butter
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml). vanilla extract
- Preparation
- Combine sugar, flour and salt in a 1 quart (950 ml) saucepan.
- Gradually add milk and stir until smooth.
- Add butter.
- Bring sauce to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Boil for 1 minute.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla.
- Comments
- May be used to pour over dessert rolls and crepes.
