Serves/Makes:1 loaf
- Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 ml) Grapenuts cereal
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2 cups (475 ml) milk
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 cups (700 ml) sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
- 4 tsp (20 ml) baking powder
- Preparation
- Mix the Grapenuts, egg and milk.
- Let stand for one hour to soften the Grapenuts.
- Add sugar and then the sifted dry ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Bake in a greased bread pan in a 375 degree (200 C.) oven for about 45 minutes.
