- Saltine crackers
- 1 cup (225 ml) dark brown sugar
- 1 cup (225 ml) margarine
- 1 cup (225 ml) chocolate chips
- Line cookie sheet with foil and grease well.
- Cover foil with layer of saltine crackers.
- Mix sugar and margarine and boil 2 minutes.
- Carefully pour over crackers and bake 350 for 8 minutes.
- Cool a bit then sprinkle chocolate chips over top to melt, spread.
- Break when cool and store in air tight container.
- There is no toffee involved. This candy tastes like Heath Bars.
