Serves/Makes:1 lb. or more food
- Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) flour
- 1/4 tsp (1 ml). salt
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml). baking soda
- 1 cup (225 ml) milk**
- ** Use 1 tbsp (15 ml). vinegar, adding skim milk to the 1 cup (225 ml) mark.
- Preparation
- Combine dry ingredients.
- Add milk and stir only until dry ingredients are moist.
- Batter will be lumpy.
- Test fry a bit, adding more flour if batter does not hold together.
- Use only enough to lightly coat food.
