- Ingredients
- 2 lbs (.9 kg). beef tenderloin
- cooking oil - enough to fill fondue pot about 2" deep (Wesson, corn, etc.)
- Preparation
- Trim fat from tenderloin.
- Cut into bite-size (1-inch cubes).
- Cover and refrigerate until serving time.
- Prepare sauces (in word search, type in: fondue sauce).
- About 20 minutes before dinner, mound pieces of meat on bed of greens.
- Measure salad oil (part butter, if you wish), in sufficient quantity to fill fondue pot to depth 1-1/2 to 2 inches.
- Heat oil on range top until hot enough to brown a bread cube in 1 minute.
- CAREFULLY place pot on fondue stand and ignite fondue pot heat source.
- To eat beef fondue, spear cube of meat with long-handled fondue fork.
- Dip into hot oil and cook until meat is cooked to your liking.
- Dip cooked meat into a sauce of your choice.
- Enjoy!!

- A lower fat alternative is to use a seasoned broth instead of oil in the fondue pot.
Serve with a baked potato and salad and, of course, dessert.
This is a fun party, keeps everyone busy and makes for good conversation.
