Serves/Makes:8 or more
- Ingredients
- 2 frozen packages spinach
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) butter or margarine
- 1 cup (225 ml) parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 8 oz (224 grm). package cream cheese
- 1 tsp (5 ml). cayenne pepper
- Preparation
- Cook spinach as directed.
- Drain as much water as possible and set aside.
- Finely chop onion and saute in 1 Tbsp (15 ml). butter/margarine.
- Add cream cheese till melted.
- Add spinach, parmesan cheese, and cayenne pepper.
- Cook till well mixed.
- Pour into greased 8 inch x 11.5 inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 30 min.
- Comments
- Absolutely delicious! Even people who don't "like" spinach like this casserole. May use cayenne pepper to taste.
