Serves/Makes:4 or more
- Ingredients
- 425 ml. apricot nectar/juice
- 1-1/2 kg. whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces
- or
- 1-1/2 kg. chicken pieces (whole thighs are best)
- 35 gram packet dried French Onion Soup
- seasoned flour for coating chicken
- carrots, peeled and cut up
- potatoes, peeled and cut up
- Preparation
- Roll chicken pieces in flour until well coated and place into crock-pot.
- Cut up carrots and potatoes and add to chicken.
- Heat together apricot nectar/juice and dried soup until thickened.
- Pour over chicken pieces.
- Turn on crock-pot to high and bring casserole to the boil.
- Turn crock-pot setting down to low and cook for 3 to 4 hours.
