Candied Nuts

Serves/Makes:2 cups

Ingredients
  • 1 cup (225 ml) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) water
  • 2 cups (475 ml) raw peanuts (or other kind of nut)
Preparation
  • Combine sugar and water in a saucepan.
  • Cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
  • Add peanuts and cook stirring constantly over medium heat until all the liquid evaporates (15 minutes).
  • Spread nuts on greased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 300 degrees (150 C.) for 30 minutes stirring every 10 minutes.
  • Remove from over and cool.
