Ingredients
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). sugar
  • 1 cup (225 ml) water
  • 2 oz (56 grm). gelatin
  • Flavouring
  • Colouring
  • Powdered sugar
Preparation
  • Soak the gelatin with 1/2 cup (125 ml) water.
  • Put the sugar, gelatin and the rest of the water in a pan and carefully dissolve over a gentle heat.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil, and boil for 5 minutes.
  • Colour and flavour as desired.
  • Pour into a wet pan and allow to cool.
  • When finally set, cut into shapes.
  • Roll in powdered sugar if desired.
