- Ingredients
- 1 lb (.5 kg). sugar
- 1 cup (225 ml) water
- 2 oz (56 grm). gelatin
- Flavouring
- Colouring
- Powdered sugar
- Preparation
- Soak the gelatin with 1/2 cup (125 ml) water.
- Put the sugar, gelatin and the rest of the water in a pan and carefully dissolve over a gentle heat.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, and boil for 5 minutes.
- Colour and flavour as desired.
- Pour into a wet pan and allow to cool.
- When finally set, cut into shapes.
- Roll in powdered sugar if desired.
