- 2 cups (475 ml) butter
- 1 cup (225 ml) sugar
- 3 tbsp (45 ml). water
- almonds (or other nuts if desired)
- Line cookie sheet with tin foil and nuts.
- In large sauce pan melt butter, sugar, and water.
- Stir continuously, with a wooden spoon, until mixture reaches a caramel color, and pour over nuts and spread to cover.
- Let set, about 1 hour, and break into pieces.
