Almond Toffee


Recipe Information
Serves/Makes:1 lb. approx.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups (475 ml) butter
  • 1 cup (225 ml) sugar
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml). water
  • almonds (or other nuts if desired)
Preparation
  • Line cookie sheet with tin foil and nuts.
  • In large sauce pan melt butter, sugar, and water.
  • Stir continuously, with a wooden spoon, until mixture reaches a caramel color, and pour over nuts and spread to cover.
  • Let set, about 1 hour, and break into pieces.
