- Ingredients
 
  -  1 cup (225 ml) whole milk
 -  1 tbsp (15 ml) lemon juice or vinegar
  
  
- Preparation
 
  -  Place the lemon juice or vinegar into a  cup of whole milk--the closer the milk is to room temperature, the better.
 - Stir and let sit for 10 minutes.
 - You now have sour milk to use as a substitute for buttermilk.
