Ingredients

• 1 unbaked pie shell
• 1 cup (225 ml) sugar
• 1/2 cup (125 ml) butter, melted
• 1 cup (225 ml) white corn syrup
• 3 eggs, slightly beaten
• 2 tbsps. bourbon
• 1/2 cup (125 ml) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
• 1 cup (225 ml) pecans, coarsely chopped
• whipped cream, optional

Preparation

• Preheat oven to 350 degrees (175 C.).
• Mix all ingredients together and pour into unbaked pie shell.
• Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 40 to 45 minutes.
• Serve with whipped cream if desired.
