Serves/Makes:4 or more
- 1 to 2 chicken or beef-flavored boullion cubes
- 3 cups (700 ml) water
- 1 cup (225 ml) uncooked long-grain rice (not instant!)
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 tsp (5 ml) salt
- Bring 1 cup (225 ml) of water to a boil.
- In a 2 qt. casserole, dissolve boullion cube in boiling water.
- Add remaining water, rice, butter, and salt.
- Cover and bake at 375 degrees (200 C.) for 1 hour.
- This recipe can be easily split in half, using a smaller casserole.
