- 1 large jar pasta sauce or marinara (avoid chunky sauce and meat flavored)
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) oregano (optional)
- 1 lb (.5 kg). ground chuck (optional)
- 2 pieces of alumnium foil
- Preparation
- Boil noodles and have dry on clean towel (listen bachelors!).
- In metal or glass baking pan (ceramic is not recommended), line one piece of aluminum foil inside pan.
- Have it neat without too many wrinkles.
- Brown ground chuck over low heat and crumble into tiny pieces.
- Line first row of lasagna noodles.
- Then pile on ingredients in this order:
- Ricotta cheese
- light layer of sauce
- 2nd row of noodles
- mozzarella cheese
- light layer of sauce
- 3rd row of noodles
- beef and a little cheese
- oregano
- 4th row of noodles
- light layer of sauce
- Montery jack cheese
- Now..........cover with second piece of foil and slit a few lines through it.
- Place in preheated 350 degree (175 C.) oven for 45 minutes--have a glass of wine and listen to music. Be patient--this baby needs time to develop.
- Pull cover foil off and let the top bake for another 10 or so minutes until the cheese is melted or brown to your liking.
- Pull out and let cool for a bit....then dive into it.
- Comments
