Serves/Makes:about 16 biscuits
- Ingredients
- 1 cup (225 ml) mashed sweet potatoes
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) butter
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) sugar
- 1 cup (225 ml) all purpose flour
- 2 tsp (10 ml). baking powder
- 1 tsp (5 ml). salt
- milk
- Preparation
- Mix potatoes and butter together.
- Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
- Mix with potatoes and butter.
- If too stiff to handle, add a little milk.
- Mold into biscuits, using flour to keep dough from sticking to hands.
- Bake 20 minutes in a 350 degree (175 C.) oven.
