- 1-1/8 lbs (.5 kg). cherries
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) caster sugar
- 4 egg whites
- Preparation
- Simply paint the cherries with the egg white.
- Dust with castar sugar and refrigerate for 4 days.
- The egg white and sugar will become the caning solution and preserve the cherries for up to 3 weeks.
