- Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) butter
- 1-1/2 cups (350 ml) packed brown sugar
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) corn syrup
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) dark rum
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) banana liquor
- 1 tsp (5 ml) cinnamon
- vanilla ice cream
- 8 cinnamon sticks for garnish
- Preparation
- PPeel and cut bananas lengthwise and in half.
- Melt butter, sugar, and corn syrup, in skillet on medium heat; bring to boil for about 1 minute.
- Add rum and liquor and bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 2 minutes.
- Add bananas and cinnamon and cook 2 more minutes.
- Place ice cream into bowls and top with bananas and sauce.
- Sprinkle some cinnamon onto ice cream and serve 2 cinnamon sticks with each bowl as garnish.
