Serves/Makes:4 or more
- Ingredients
- 1 lb (.5 kg). minced steak
- 2 green shallots, chopped
- 2 tsp (10 ml) soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp (2 ml) dry mustard
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup (80 ml) tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup (60 ml) chutney
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) curry powder
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 4-1/2 oz (126 grm). instant dried potato flakes
- 1 cup (225 ml) boiling water
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) milk
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) butter, melted
- 1 green shallot, chopped, extra
- Preparation
- Combine mince steak with shallots, soy sauce, mustard, egg, tomato sauce, chutney, curry powder, milk, and 3/4 cup (175 ml) of potato flakes.
- Mix well.
- Press firmly into 7 inch pie plate.
- Cook on high 10 minutes in microwave.
- Combine remaining dried ingredients.
- Spread over mince mixture, reheat on High for 2 to 4 minutes.

- This recipe was cooked in 600 watt microwave according to the book. I am sure you could adjust and cook in conventional over accordingly.
You could use left-over mashed potatoes for the topping. Hope this is what you were looking for.
