- 1 lb (.5 kg). ground round
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 cup (175 ml) plain bread crumbs
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp (15 ml) butter
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) grape jelly
- 1 cup (225 ml) chili sauce
- 1 lb (.5 kg). ground round

- Preparation
- With a fork or clean hands,combine the meat,egg,bread crumbs,salt,and pepper,then shape into 1-inch balls.
- Melt the butter in a large saute pan, brown the meatballs, drain off fat.
- In a bowl,stir together the jelly and chili sauce and pour over the meatballs.
- Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes over medium to low heat,turning regularly.
- Keep warm in chafing dish and serve them to guest and family with toothpicks and cocktail napkins.
