- Dry mix:
- 3 cups (700 ml) flour
- 1 cup (225 ml) Bisquick
- 2 tbsp (30 ml). garlic salt
- 1 tbsp (15 ml). black pepper
- 1 tsp (5 ml). salt
- Wet mix:
- 1 egg
- 2 cups (475 ml) buttermilk
- 1/2 cup (125 ml) Bisquick
- 1 cup (225 ml) water, iced
- 1 tbsp (15 ml). oregano
- Preparation
- Dip slices in the batters, going from dry to wet and back to dry.
- Fry at 350 degrees (175 C.) in vegetable oil until golden brown (20 - 25 seconds).
- Can be served with ranch dressing for dip.
