Easy Split Pea Soup

Serves/Makes:4 servings

Ingredients
  • 2 cups (475 ml) dried split peas
  • 4 cups (950 ml) hot water
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) Monterey Steak Seasoning
  • 1 medium-sized sweet onion, diced
  • 1 cup (225 ml) Jimmy Dean Sausage (medium or hot), crumbled and browned
Preparation
  • Soak split peas overnight and drain.
  • Place all ingredients in large pot.
  • Bring to boil.
  • Simmer on low with tilted cover for 1 hour.
