Like sloppy joes but better



  • 1 lb (.5 kg). lean ground beef
  • 1 cup (225 ml) finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup (225 ml) finely chopped green pepper
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) prepared mustard
  • 1 tbsp (15 ml) vinegar
  • 1 tsp (5 ml). salt (or less)
  • 1 cup (225 ml) ketchup
  • rolls
  • Fry meat until brown; drain off grease.
  • Add all ingredients and simmer covered about one hour.
  • Spoon into fresh rolls.
This is great for a quick meal with a side salad.
