  • Salad:
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). spinach leaves
  • 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  • 3 eggs, hard boiled and sliced
  • Dressing:
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml). salad oil
  • 3 tsp (15 ml). sugar
  • 4 Tbsp (60 ml). bacon drippings
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml). salt
  • Place salad ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Bring the 5 dressing ingredients to a boil.
  • Cool slightly and pour over salad.
  • Toss and serve immediately while warm.
