Ingredients
  • 1 cup (225 ml) butter
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) crisco
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 cups (700 ml) sugar
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) baking powder
  • 1 cup (225 ml) milk
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla
  • 3 cups (700 ml) flour
Preparation
  • Cream shortning and gradually add sugar and eggs one at a time.
  • Combine baking powder, flour and milk (alternate ending with flour).
  • Add vanila.
  • Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) F. for one hour.
