Serves/Makes:3 dozen
- Ingredients
- 1 Cup (225 ml) Sugar
- 1 cup (225 ml) margarine
- 1 Cup (225 ml) Oil
- 1 Cup (225 ml) Sugar
- 1 Cup (225 ml) Powdered Sugar
- 1 tsp (5 ml). Vanilla
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tsp (5 ml). Cream of Tartar
- 1 tsp (5 ml). salt
- 1 tsp (5 ml). Baking Soda
- 4 cups (950 ml) plus 4 TBS (60 ml) Flour
- Preparation
- Use electric mixer.
- Mix margarine and oil until soft.
- Gradually add sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- Beat until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, sift or mix flour, baking soda, cream of tarter and salt.
- Add to sugar and egg mixture.
- Roll in small balls.
- Roll balls in sugar.
- Flatten with a glass (dip glass bottom in sugar to keep from sticking).
- Place on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 375 degrees (200 C.) for about 12 minutes.

- This are one of my favorites. Delicious, but fattening! It's impossible to eat just one!
Another great taste is to roll them in cinnamon sugar.
