Serves/Makes:2 dozen

  • Bottom:
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) margarine
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sugar
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 1-1/3 cups (325 ml) graham crumbs
  • 1 cup (225 ml) shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) chopped walnuts
  • Middle:
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) margarine
  • 3 Tbsp (45 ml). milk
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml). custard powder
  • 2 cups (475 ml) icing sugar
  • Top:
  • 4 squares chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml). margarine
  • Melt first 3 ingredients.
  • Add graham crumbs, coconut, and walnuts.
  • Press into the bottom of baking pan.
  • Bake for 10 minutes at 350 degrees (175 C.).
  • Cream middle ingredients.
  • Spread when bottom is cool.
  • Melt 2 ingredients for top.
  • Let cool but not harden.
  • Spread on top.
  • Let harden.
  • Cut and enjoy.
This is a great recipie for Christmas or for a sweet tooth.
