  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Butter is 2 Cups
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Shortening is 2 Cups
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Cheese is 4-1/2 Cups (1050 ml), grated
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). All Purpose White Flour is 3 3/4 Cups
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Graham or Whole Wheat Flour is 3 1/3 Cups
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Corn Meal is 3 1/4 Cups
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Raisins, seeded is 3 Cups
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Dates, Pitted is 2 2/3 Cups
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Dates, Unpitted is 3 1/2 Cups
  • 1 oz (28 grm). Square of Chocolate is 2 tbsp (30 ml) of Cocoa
  • 1 cup (225 ml) of Broken Uncooked Macaroni is 2-1/3 Cups (550 ml) cooked
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Uncooked Meat is 2-3/4 cups (650 ml) Cooked
  • 1 lb (.5 kg). Uncooked Rice is 4 Cups (950 ml) cooked
  • 1 cup (225 ml) Broken Uncooked Spaghetti is 3-1/2 Cups (825 ml) cooked
  • 3 lbs (1.4 kg). Dressed Chicken is 1-1/2 lbs (.7 kg). cooked or 4-1/2 Cups (1050 ml) cooked and diced
Preparation
  • Very Slow Oven is 250 degrees (125 C.) to 300 degrees
  • Slow Oven is 300 degrees (150 C.) to 350 degrees
  • Moderate Oven is 350 degrees (175 C.) to 400 degrees
  • Hot Oven is 400 degrees (200 C.) to 450 degrees
  • Very Hot Oven is 450 degrees (225 C.) to 550 degrees
