Serves/Makes:varies

Ingredients
  • apples
  • cinnamon
  • sugar
Preparation
  • I like to take my apples that are getting a little mushy and 'quick cook' them. First I peel and slice the apple. Then I sprinkle with a mixture of cinnamon sugar (like you would sprinkle on toast). I either toss into a pan on the stove top and cook until tender, or place in a microwave safe dish and cook in the microwave for a minute or two- until tender. It tastes like an apple pie minus all the work. Use as ice cream topping, feed to the little ones, serve as a dessert- cooked apples and whipped cream topped with another sprinkling of plain cinnamon.
