This is a yummy cake .


Serves/Makes:9X13 cake

  • Cake:
  • 2 cups (475 ml) flour
  • 2 cups (475 ml) sugar
  • 1 tsp (5 ml). baking soda
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cans drained fruit cocktail
  • Topping:
  • 2 cups (475 ml) sugar
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 tsp (5 ml). vanila
  • 1 stick butter (or margarine)
  • Mix all cake ingredients together.
  • Bake in a 350 degree (175 C.) oven about 30 minutes.
  • Combine topping ingredients in sauce pan and bring to a fast boil.
  • Remove from heat and pour on hot cake.
This is not exactly what you ask for, but may be close. I suppose you could use brown sugar instead of white for the topping and add walnuts. Hope this helps
