Serves/Makes:2 1/2 cups

  • 1 cup (225 ml) pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) finely diced green pepper
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) cider vinegar
  • 1-1/2 tbsp (20 ml) cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) soy sauce
  • 1 sm. tomato diced finely
  • Combine all except green pepper and tomato.
  • Heat, stirring constantly until thickened and translucent.
  • Add Tomato and Green Pepper.
  • Serve over meat, vegetables or with wontons.
