  • 4 oz (112 grm) can Ortega whole green chilies (you can use diced if preferred)
  • 2 lbs (.9 kg). grated jack cheese
  • 10 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 small can evaporated milk
  • Seed and split peppers if preferred.
  • Layer cheese and peppers.
  • Mix together milk and eggs, pour over cheese and peppers.
  • Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 1 hour.
This is a recipe passed to me from my late mother-in-law Ilo Hutton. "Mom would have cooked it this way"
