Sauce to accompany appetizers


Serves/Makes:1/2 cup sauce

  • 2-1/2 tbs (35 ml) water
  • 2 tbs (30 ml) fish sauce
  • 2 tbs (30 ml) lime juice
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) honey
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) Chinese chili sauce
  • 1 clove garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tbs (15 ml) shredded fresh basil or mint
  • 2 tbs (30 ml) shredded fresh ginger
  • Mix all ingredients.
  • Store in refrigerator for up to 1 week.
  • Serve as dipping sauce at room temperature.
