Print Friendly Recipe Recipe Information Source: Bell's Best Cookbook Ingredients 2 cups (475 ml) sugar 2 cups (475 ml) flour 1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt 1/2 cup (125 ml) buttermilk 1 tsp (5 ml) soda 3 Tbsp (45 ml) Cocoa 1 Tbsp (15 ml) vanilla 2 eggs 1 stick oleo 1/2 cup (125 ml) shortening 1 cup (225 ml) coke for the Icing: 1 stick oleo 3 tbsp (45 ml) cocoa 6 tbsp (90 ml) coke 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla 1 box powdered sugar 1 cup (225 ml) chopped nuts (optional) Preparation Mix first 7 ingredients, for cake, then heat next 4 and add gradually into first mixture. Grease 13 x 9 inch pan and cover bottom with 2 cups (475 ml) miniature marshmallows. Pour batter over that. Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) for 35-45 minutes. Pour icing over warm cake. FOR THE ICING: Heat oleo,cocoa,coke and vanilla; pour over the powdered sugar and mix. Add nuts. Cool, cut and serve. Comments
