Serves/Makes:2 Pies

  • 3-3/4 cups (875 ml) sugar
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) flour
  • 1/2 tsp (2 ml) salt
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla
  • 6 eggs, well beaten
  • 1 cup (225 ml) butter, melted
  • 1 cup (225 ml) buttermilk
  • Mix sugar, four and salt; add to eggs, butter, buttermilk and vanilla.
  • (Beat very well)
  • Bake in unbaked pie shell 1 hour at 350 degrees (175 C.) F.
This is delicious. Hope it tastes like your Grandmother's.
