Serves/Makes:6 doz

  • 2 cups (475 ml) sugar
  • 1 cup (225 ml) margarine
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) vanilla
  • 1-1/2 tsp (7 ml) baking soda
  • 5-1/2 cups (1300 ml) flour
  • Cream together sugar and margarine.
  • Add eggs and mix till smooth.
  • Slowly add buttermilk, mixing well.
  • Add vanilla.
  • Add baking soda and flour.
  • Drop by tsp onto foil lined cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375 degrees (200 C.) F. for 12-13 minutes
This is a soft dough.
