Serves/Makes:1 cup sauce

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup (125 ml) sugar
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) cornstarch
  • dash salt
  • 1/3 c water
  • 1 c blueberries
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp (1 ml) grated lemon peel
Preparation
  • Combine sugar, cornstarch and salt.
  • Stir in water.
  • Add blueberries.
  • Bring to boil; simmer until clear and thickened, about 4 minutes.
  • remove from heat and add lemon juice and lemon peel.
  • Chill.
