Green Beans with Almond and Garlic

  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 tbsp (45 ml). dry minced garlic
  • 3/4 cup (175 ml) sliced almonds
  • 2 cans french cut green beans; drained
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • In large skillet, saute garlic and almonds in butter until almonds begin to brown.
  • Add green beans to skillet; stir.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste (I like lots of pepper).
  • Simmer for about five minutes, stirring a couple of times.
