Serves/Makes:serves 6-8
- Ingredients
- 2 lbs (.9 kg). or (3 lbs (1.4 kg).) squash
- 2 sticks oleo
- 2 rolls of Ritz crackers
- 3 cups (700 ml) grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 2 lg. onions
- Preparation
- Boil squash, until tender.
- In a skillet, saute 1 stick of butter and chopped onions until glossy.
- Grate cheddar cheese.
- In a paper bag, pour crackers in and crush them.
- In a casserole dish layer squash,onions,cheese & cracker crumbs.
- Bake at 350 degrees (175 C.) until cheese melts and crackers, which are on top, get golden.
- Bake about 25-30 minutes.

- My grandmother use to cook with me all the time and this was one of our favorite recipes.
