Sausage Gravy and Biscuits

Served over biscuits also known as Sawmill Gravy.

Serves/Makes:4 with 2 biscuits each

  • 1 pound sausage (I use Jimmy Dean Hot)
  • 4 Tbs (60 ml). flour
  • 2-1/2 cups (600 ml) milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Break up sausage and saute until cooked.
  • Do not drain.
  • Sprinkle the flour over the sausage and stir.
  • Gradually add milk(add more milk if too thick).
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Cook until thickened.
  • Serve over hot biscuits of choice.
